Our trip to Fujian allows students to really experience a unique aspect of Chinese culture and immerse themselves in some of the most stunning natural beauty. An outdoorsy adventure awaits in the heart of the region with a variety of hands on experiences, cultural activities and exciting active options.
This trip has a slice of everything with a series of experiences that showcase varied aspects of the local culture. For historians, there’s a fascinating trip to Gulangyu island where you can soak up the trading history of this key trade outpost! A key part of any experience is gaining an understanding of life in the tulous- these strictures play host to a whole series of commerce and culture and we will immerse ourselves in them. Stay the night, meet the locals and explore the oldest tulou as part of this journey of discovery into a unique culture. What’s more – there’s bike rides out in nature, seafood BBQs and a chance to learn about Mazu religion.
