Day 1: Seoul
Welcome to Seoul! Your South Korea STEM school trip starts here. You’ll be greeted at Incheon Airport by your Adventure Leader, who’ll help you transfer to your accommodation. Once you’ve checked in and settled yourself, you’ll meet them for a trip briefing. They’ll give you an outline of your week ahead and advice on adapting to Korean life.
Arriving in a new city can be a lot to take in. To get you accustomed to the area, your guide will take you out on an orientation walking tour of the local surroundings. You’ll get information on cultural differences, and key information on staying safe whilst out and about.
Day 2: Seoul
- You’ll pay a visit to the stunning Gyeongbokgung Palace, a focal point of the city and once the main Royal Palace of the Joseon Dynasty. After spending some time exploring here, you’ll head uphill to the Bukchon Hanok traditional village. Filled with examples of traditional Korean architecture, take some time to wander the narrow, winding alleyways.
- Get to trips with all things Hallyu at the HiKR Ground. Set up by the Korean Tourism Organization, it’s an interactive homage to all things K-culture. Using smart technology, students can explore K-pop, K-dramas, and Korean art.
- Soak in the amazing views of the city from the second highest point in Seoul. Head up the N Seoul Tower for a fantastic experience on the observation deck.
