vietnam e-visas

As of 15 August 2023, Vietnam’s e-Visas are readily available to all foreign visitors! This means that the process of applying for a tourist visa to visit is now even easier for all global citizens. In addition, a change in the duration now means that e-Visas are valid for up to 90-days and multiple entries – a welcome change from the previous single-entry, 30-day restrictions.

vietnam e-visas

While previously, Vietnam only issued e-Visas to nationals from 80 countries worldwide, the updates from August mean that the stunning country in Southeast Asia is now even more accessible to tourists from all over the world. What’s more, additional changes mean that visitors from countries who do not need a visa to enter Vietnam will see their length of permitted stay increase from 15 days to 45 days!

In a nutshell, Vietnam’s e-Visa updates are:

  • Visitors from all countries worldwide are now able to apply for a 90-day, multiple-entry e-Visa, which is valid at 52 ports of entry and exit across the country. More information on Vietnam e-Visas can be found here: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/vi_VN/web/guest/trang-chu-ttdt
  • A number of selected countries can continue to visit Vietnam without the need for a visa, with the duration of stay increasing from 15 to 45 days. These countries are: the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, South Korea, Russia and Japan.
