Greece School Trips & Educational Tours

Educational tours to Greece are the perfect way to bring your Classics or Classical Civilisations curriculum to life.

With more than 18 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, covering over 2,500 years of ancient history, school trips to Greece have abundant opportunities to experience some of the world’s best sites and museums. No matter what topics are studied, an educational tour of Greece offers students valuable insights into the ancient world, from democracy to sculpture, defensive architecture to religious practices.

Why we provide academic travel programs in Greece:

School trips to Greece offer students a chance to get up-close to the archaeology and history that they study; from standing just meters from the Parthenon and testing acoustics in the theatre of Epidaurus, to democratic debates on the Pnyx itself, a student trip to Greece with The Learning Adventure brings the classroom into the real world. Alongside the educational experiences, students can explore the street food of Athens, create their own mosaics, and taste the very best olive oil the Peloponnese has to offer. Genuine cultural experiences are an important part of our educational trips to Greece, as we work to offer students transformative travel experiences that go far beyond their academic development.

Frequently Asked Questions

How we will be travelling around Greece?

We usually advise private coaches for educational tours to Greece, as they allow you to stop off at sites that are perfectly suited to your group. There are also good public buses in Greece, which can be quoted for smaller groups on a budget.

What’s the best time to take a school trip to Greece?

Boasting perfect weather from April through to November (with the hottest months being July and August) it’s an easy decision to take a school trip to Greece. Other than the dates of Orthodox Easter celebrations, when lots of tourist attractions will be closed and hotels exceptionally busy, Greece is a fantastic place to visit throughout the year – especially the autumn half term, when the weather is warm and there are fewer tourists.

What if I want to visit a site not in the itinerary?

All our tours are totally customisable, so if there’s something you’d like to be included, all you need to do is enquire.

Who will be with our group?

Your enthusiastic Adventure Leader will be with you and your students throughout the tour, to ensure everything runs smoothly and help your group have the best trip possible.
