Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

  • Arrive at the start of your Learning Adventure where our enthusiastic Adventure Leaders will be waiting for you, waving our TLA flag.
  • After arrival, students will be provided with a Trip Briefing. The Adventure Leaders will explain details about your travel plans, give advice on how to adapt to the local culture and outline how you will stay safe during your travels.  
  • In the afternoon enjoy a short city tour.

Day 2: Old & New Delhi, Red Fort, Jama Masjid & Sikh temple

  • After breakfast, it’s time for a day tour of Old and New Delhi.
  • Explore the Chandni Chowk – the crowded bazaar (silver street) of Old Delhi, as well as the Red Fort, where students can wander the sprawling fort of red sand stones along the river Yamuna.
  • Following your exploration of the Red Fort, enjoy a rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes, spice market and street food market. 
  • Before Lunch, visit the Jama Masjid, the largest and most magnificent mosque in India. 
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of New Delhi. Here you can explore India Gate, Parliament House, President Estate and Gandhi Smriti. 
  • Later visit the Sikh temple, one of the most prominent Sikh gurdwara in Delhi.

Day 3: Argra, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Marble Factory & Zardozi embroidery

  • In the morning head to Argra from Delhi.
  • Once everyone has settled into the hotel, they’ll get to visit India’s most prized monument, the Taj Mahal. It is one of the seven wonders of the world and was built buy Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz. 
  • Following the visit from the Taj Mahal with sightseeing. Discover the Agra Fort, a masterpiece of design and construction. You’ll find within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings. 
  • Later, take a visit to the Marble Factory. When exploring the Marble Factory make sure to look out for Marble Inlay Work, the same art that is used on the walls of the Taj Mahal. 
  • It’s time for a Zardozi embroidery demonstration. This beautiful metal embroidery was once used to embellish the attire of the kings and the royals in India. 
  • After sightseeing head back to the hotel and enjoy a private magic show.

Day 4: Jaipur

  • This morning transfer to Jaipur.
  • Students will arrive in the afternoon and get the chance to see the battle scarred walls, which were built early in the eighteenth century.

Day 5: Amber Fort, shopping, City Palace & sound and light show

  • After an early breakfast, get ready for half day sightseeing of the Amber Fort. Located on a hillside overlooking Maotha Lake. 
  • Jaipur is known as a shopper’s paradise, famous for its jewelry, carpets, block printing textiles, furniture, antiques, spices, pottery and so much more. Take a wonder and find a souvenir to bring back home. 
  •  After lunch, explore the City Palace, the heart of the old city. The City Palace is the principal residence of the ruling family! 
  • In the evening enjoy a sound and light show.

Day 6: Delhi

  • After breakfast it’s time to head back to Delhi. 
  • On the last night, there will be a chance to come together for a reflection session. Through discussion, listening and guided thought, participants can process their experiences, digest new ideas and consider what they have learned about the region, its people and themselves during the trip.

Day 7: Farewell

  • It’s time to head back home. We hope that your trip will leave you with a feeling of increased confidence, knowledge, understanding and yearning for your next adventure!
