Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Students will touch down in Yangshuo, ready for the start of their culture trip! They’ll meet their Adventure Leader and they’ll help them transfer to their accommodation.
After arriving, students will have a trip briefing with the Adventure Leader. Alongside running through the next 5 days of the itinerary, they’ll also introduce students to the local culture and provide some tips for adjusting to local life, while also explaining the best ways to stay safe while they travel.
Once students have settled in, they will take a journey to Ruyi Peak, named because of the shape of its mountain ridge. This is one of the best places to enjoy the picturesque view of the karst landform and experience the exciting and thrilling rope bridge and glass skywalk.

Day 2: Rock Climbing, Bamboo Rafting & Light Show

The first activity today will be a highlight for many, rock climbing. This thrilling and exhilarating experience will truly test students physical strength and mental agility. These unique formations create a rock climbing paradise, with countless cliffs and crags waiting to be conquered.
After lunch, students will soak up the beautiful karst scenery whilst bamboo rafting. A serene, eco-friendly, and culturally rich experience surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. Students can sit back, relax, and let the gentle flow of the river carry them on an unforgettable journey.
Tucked away inside an old village on the way to the Yu Long River is Yangshuo’s Traditional Tai Chi School. Kung Fu and Tai Chi masters live here providing lessons.
After dinner, head to the banks of the Li River to watch The Sanjie Liu Light Show, a mesmerizing spectacle that combines stunning visuals, captivating performances, and cultural immersion into one unforgettable experience.

Day 3: Cooking Class, Caves & Trivia Night

Today, students will get the chance to learn new skills by taking a cooking class. An extraordinary culinary experience that will tantalize taste buds, deepen their cultural understanding, and provide them with lifelong skills to recreate delicious dishes at home.
After an exciting cooking class, students will get ready strap on a headlamp and walk deep into one of the cave complexes nuzzled in the hills surrounding Yangshuo.
To end a jam packed day, group into teams and test students knowledge in our TLA Trivia Night.

Day 4: Fuli, Folk Art & Via Ferrata

To start the day, students will visit the ancient town of Fuli – 30 min away from Yangshuo – to experience the traditional folk art of fan painting by one of the few masters still practicing today. A fantastic opportunity to unleash their creativity, immerse themselves in the local artistic traditions, and leave with a unique and personalized souvenir to cherish.
Get ready for an exhilarating adventure on the Via Ferrata. The route has various obstacles including a suspension bridge, sky ladder, zip line, and circular viewing bridge which lead to a stunning view at the end.
For their final evening, come together for a banquet dinner. The banquet typically features a variety of delicious dishes representing the local cuisine or a special menu prepared for the occasion. It’s a time to reflect on the experiences of the trip, bond with classmates and educators, and create lasting memories before heading back home.

Day 5: Farewell

Its time for students, faculty and adventure leaders to come together for a reflection session. Through discussion, listening and guided thought, participants can process their experiences, digest new ideas and consider what they have learned during the program.
Sadly, today marks the end of your Learning Adventure to Yangshuo. We’ll transfer back to the airport, ready for you to head home.
