How To Plan For A School Trip In 2021

Kate Hill

The last few months have been a whirlwind of uncertainty, making planning your school trip difficult.  Planning is not impossible though and there are plenty of options to help bring the world to your students.  To help you get back to the new semester running, here’s a few things you can do now to start preparing for fall or future class trips now. Here at The Learning Adventure, our belief in the power of educational travel remains undimmed and we’ve spent this time refining our existing programmes and developing new trips.

Reach out to us

At The Learning Adventure, our representatives are up to date on the latest travel restrictions and health requirements.  We would be happy to talk to you about possible locations or sites you can consider bringing your class to that both keep your students safe and healthy while also meeting the travel requirements for your city or school. We can offer additional flexibility in the booking process and ensure that all our trips follow the government guidelines, at the time, in regards to COVID-19.

Talk to your school

Second, as the school year is coming to an end, now is the perfect time to talk to your school administration and start collecting the information required to design a school trip.  With even as little information as just class size, preferred and backup locations, and your learning objectives, a range of sample quotes can be sent to you and your school for consideration.  As The Learning Adventure prides itself with flexibility, once an academic program is selected, arrangements can be made to make the trip possible at almost any time of the year. Often trips can take a good year to arrange so starting sooner rather than later is no bad thing!

Consider a shorter domestic trip

You might have typically planned longer, exotic tours but perhaps you could look a bit closer to home for your next tour. We are developing a series of programmes for schools based within the countries that we operate in. These shorter tours will be focused around educational outcomes and aim to ensure that we provide students with a chance to spread their wings, learn from their surroundings and have the benefits of a school trip without the need to travel too far. We are setting up a while series of domestic tours for schools based in China, Japan, SE Asia and our European destinations including the UK and France. Let us know about your knowledge requirements and The Learning Adventure would be happy to send you a sample itinerary and quote for a shorter field trip.

Planning your school trip doesn’t have to be impossible, and with The Learning Adventure always “thinking outside the box,” you know you will always have every option available to you.  Contact us now to learn how we can bring the world to you and your students.
