Our Korea service tour is perfect for students seeking to develop an understanding of Korean culture and also its efforts around sustainability. This tour is a mixture of cultural experiences and an enriching service project. Our adventure leaders will help the students explore the modern Korea.
Over the course of this week long tour- we visit a range of places within this rapidly evolving nation. From the buzzing city streets of Seoul to the tranquil zen of Sokcho National Park and plenty more in between. The aim of this trip is to give students real hands-on experiences with a service project centred around a recycling projects and studying its effect on the environment and attempts to engage the community with the goals. The students will also take part in a range of other experiences and will leave with a greater sense of Korea as a whole. We can adapt this tour to be shorter or longer or take in different locations- our team of experts will be happy to assist in building an ideal trip for your students.

Seoul
Enjoy the delights of the capital city: visit Palaces, marvel at the city-scapes from the N Seoul Tower, laugh at the physical slapstick of the Nanta show, cruise down the Han River and watch a Taekwondo demonstration.
Service Project
Take part in a service project near Jumunjin- discover the efforts made towards sustainability and engage directly with how the recycling and up-cycling work. We'll also discuss strategy with the staff and consider how to best engage with the local community.
An Example itinerary
Day 1
- Arrive at the airport and be greeted by your adventure leaders
- Trip briefing
- View the city from atop the N Seoul Tower
Day 2
- Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village
- Watch a demonstration of Taekwondo
- Scenic cruise of the Han River
Day 3
- Transfer to Jumunjin via private coach
- Beach at Hajodae on the seaside boardwalk and stand up paddle board class
- Project briefing
Day 4
- Take part in recycling and up-cycling project
- Help process the items and creation of materials documenting the projects
- Work on seminar and event preparation with the team
Day 5
- Second Day on the service project
- Evening presentation to stake-holders about the project
Day 6
- Private coach to Seoraksan National Park and hike to Sinheungsa Temple.
- Waterfall trail, cable car amidst the mountains
- Cross river to Abai and then onto the Lighthouse Obsevratory
- Dinner next to local fish market
Day 7
- Transfer back to Seoul via private coach
- Visit Changdeokgung Palace and the stunning secret garen
- Watch a NANTA show- physical comedy show
- Reflection session
Day 8
- Head home to the airport
