This part of China offers a whole series of magical vistas alongside some truly fascinating culture. This tour is designed to really give students a transformative travel experience and hopefully broaden their horizons. The trip is aimed to give students the chance to get out into nature- they can assist farmers with taking yaks down the mountain, camp alongside local nomadic tribes-people and observe monks going about their daily routines. We can amend this trip to suit particular groups and educational outcomes and we can guarantee an enriching adventure and some striking photographs!

An Example itinerary
Day 1
- Meet at your school and a flight to Lanzhou
- Lunch of Lanzhou noodles
- Visit Linxia – walking tour to see the Hui brick carving, Han wood carving and Tibetan painting
- Transfer to Langmusi- stunning mountainous town
- Welcome dinner of mutton BBQ
Day 2
- Assist the local farmers and including mining yaks and churning butter
- Start a stunning 2 day hike
- Arrive at the “Ocean of Flowers” and camp alongside nomadic tribes people
Day 3
- A challenging day scaling the heights of Mount Huagai
- Get to the top alongside our experienced guides and then enjoy the truly stunning scenery
- Head back to the hotel for a hot shower and recovery!
Day 4
- Witness morning rituals at Kirti Monastery – observer the daily routine of the monks and marvel at the temple
- Hop on a horse for a ride along the White Dragon River and gaze at the stupendous views!
- Free evening to explore the town and shop, enjoy local delicacies or even join the dancing in the town square.
Day 5
- Head into the forest with a local wildlife spotter to see Sika Deer
- Learn from local farmers about foraging for wild mushrooms and wild herbs
- Bring these back and make dumplings for lunch
- Assist with getting the yaks down the mountain
- Final evening and party at Black Tent Cafe and a reflection session
Day 6
- Head back to the airport and fly over the stunning surroundings on your way back to the school.
