This 6-day art-focused trip to Paris will get students creatively inspired, exploring famous landmarks, France’s finest galleries, checking out Paris’ street art, and delving into scarf painting in the fashion capital of the world.
On this trip, students get to experience a city abundant with artistic history, bold street art, ancient architecture and influential fashion industry. They’ll wander around galleries, paint silk scarves, marvel at the Palace of Versailles, and take in stunning views from the top of the Eiffel Tower. Students will also have the opportunity to see some of France’s most famous landmarks, consume French cuisine, watch a comedy show, and talk art and design with a university lecturer.

Day 1: Climb the Eiffel Tower
Start your Paris adventure off arriving at Gare du Nord/Charles de Gaulle airport and transfer to the hotel using public transport. On the way, The Learning Adventure guide will provide some interesting general knowledge about the area, as well as trip rules and safety guidelines. Check in to the hotel. Get out and about Paris by taking a boat ride along the river Seine where you’ll stop off to climb the Eiffel Tower. Enjoy the view of the iconic Eiffel Tower from the Trocadero esplanade at sunset and watch it twinkle when lit up at night. End the day feasting on a much earned welcome dinner and come together for a trip briefing to get you ready for the week’s adventures.
Day 2: See Paris’s Hot Spots and Talk All Things Art at University
Start the morning with a city tour to take in all of Paris’s ‘must-sees’, including Notre Dame, ile de la cité, the latin quarter, Place de la Concorde, La Concergerie, Avenue des Champs-Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, Sainte Chapelle, Place Vendôme, Le pont de l’Alma (Lady Di memorial) and Port de La Bourdonnais. Pay a visit to Sorbonne University to have a tour and enjoy an art and design talk by one of the lecturers. Spend the evening entertained as you watch a stand-up routine in English performed by a French comedian.
Day 3: Visit the Louvre and Explore Paris Fashion
Wake up and enrich your art knowledge as you learn about French art at the Louvre, where you’ll also take part in a Learning Adventure scavenger hunt. Dive into Paris’ fashion scene and take part in an interactive workshop of silk scarf painting. Spend the evening dining in the Montparnasse area, and go up the Montparnasse tower for sunset for panoramic views of Paris, or as it’s also known, The City of Light.
Day 4: Marvel at the Palace of Versailles
Take a trip to the grand palace of Versailles to explore its intricate interiors and learn about its historic past, taking a tour of the King’s unique style and artistic tastes. In the evening, travel back to Paris and enjoy dinner in the Latin quarter of the city with its ‘ancient feel’.
Day 5: Paris Street Art Tour and Trip To Montmartre
Head to the streets of Paris and take part in a street art tour from a French Art History Graduate student. Afterwards, have a game of pétanque on the banks of the river Seine (pétanque is a French game similar to bowls). After you’ve enjoyed more French cuisine for dinner explore Montmartre, best known for its artistic history, and watch the sun go down from the beautiful Sacré Coeur Basilica.
Day 6: Au Revoir Paris!
Transfer to the airport for the flight back home, taking all the inspiration you’ve gathered during your Learning Adventure for your next pieces of art!
