Day 1: Shanghai’s Glitz and Glamour
Afternoon
Touch down and get a little pre-trip prep on the transfer to your accommodation before your afternoon gets going.
It’s your first afternoon. Shake hands with one of the world’s most developed cities as you explore three of its most famous areas, People’s Square, Nanjing Road and The Bund, to learn about China’s rapid urban development. Nanjing Road is the world’s longest shopping district, at 5.5km long and with over 1 million visitors a day! That’s 1/8 of London, 1/5 of Sydney or 1/9 of New York.
Evening
After a trip briefing, end the day with a delicious welcome dinner.
Day 2: Water Recycling Company Visit
Morning
On your first morning in Shanghai, you’re learning about sustainability in business. Visit Canature, a water recycling company, who’ve worked with some big names. We’re talking the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 14th World Swimming Championship, and plenty of schools and malls. Look around their office, take a workshop and get inspired by their recycling products.
Afternoon
After lunch, tour Shanghai’s fancy financial district, Lujiazui, and head to the top of the Shanghai Tower for a view of the city that you’ve spent the day exploring.
Evening
In the evening, take advantage of the city’s beautiful night lights with an evening cruise on the Huangpu River.
