Day 1: Welcome to Khao Yai
Your adventure in Thailand tour starts today! You’ll be met at the airport by our Adventure Leaders, who’ll help you transfer and get settled into your accommodation. Once you’re unpacked, you’ll come together for a trip briefing. Here, your Leaders will tell you about your travel plans, give you advice on local culture, and advise on safety.
You’ll head out for a welcome dinner after a long flight, before you head back to the hotel to rest up.
Day 2: Elephant Sanctuary
Today, students will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit a local elephant sanctuary. The Thai Elephant Conservation Centre sanctuary was established in 1993, and currently cares for around 50 Asian elephants. It acts as a centre for research and is at the forefront in treating sick elephants in Thailand.
Once your lunch has gone down, we’re away to our next activity. In our first dose of high-octane adventure, students will take to the water! They’ll take an exciting white-water rafting experience on the Muak Lek River. Trained guides will ensure that students have an adrenaline-fuelled but safe experience.
This evening, students will get the change to integrate into the local culture with a Thai language class. In this, they’ll learn helpful Thai language basics, as well as useful phrases to use during their travels.
