Planning A School Trip to Asia?

Planning a school trip abroad can seem daunting and our goal at The Learning Adventure is to make this process as hassle-free as possible. Here’s our step by step guide to organizing an enriching adventure for your students.

It’s a big world out there and there’s a great deal of choice when it comes to where your students could be inspired. We believe that China, Japan and Southeast Asia offer a great range of exciting itineraries. The culture in both destinations is very different and our trips aim to unlock some of the mystery from these places.

All our tours can all be customized to specific subjects. This means that whatever you teach – we can adapt the trip to subject-specific needs. Our teams are based in the locations so we can really modify all elements of the trips very easily. If you have specific requests, then we can incorporate these or let our specialists in school trip curation guide you through the process.

Once you decided between itineraries and have an awesome action-packed tour to promote then you need to get the students excited. You are welcome to invite one of The Learning Adventure’s specialists into your school to deliver an assembly. We suggest you allow plenty of time to give students enough time to sign up and putting in a fixed deposit deadline. You may need to convince senior leadership or governors to go ahead with the trip and we can help provide any documents you need for that too. We are fully bonded, ATOL protected and have public liability insurance so that’s all covered.

We ask for a deposit to secure the trip and then can set up a payment plan that suits your needs. Often- we take a small initial deposit and then 2 more regular payments before the final 40% a month before the trip departs.

As an ATOL protected company, we can help you with all elements of the tours. Our initial quote covers internal transport, accommodation, activities, meals, guiding, tipping and bottled water but we can add on flights too if you’d prefer. You just need to tell us where you’d like to leave from and if you’d prefer direct – or cheaper – indirect ones. We book group flights so there’s flexibility with adding or taking away numbers.

Before the trip starts – we will send over accommodation audits and risk assessments for all aspects of the trip. Having taken over 6,000 young people on tours- we know the risks and how to deal with them and we know very well the expectations required for health and safety. It’s our number one priority and we certainly have the documents to prove it!

We are passionate about having genuinely positive educational outcomes from our trip. Our trips are already full of opportunities and we have crafted them to really enrich students’ experiences. If you have specific areas you’d like students to focus on then we can add these in and adapt the trips around particular curriculums. We have worked with syllabuses from all over the world.

With our expert team of experienced guides- the trip itself should be a chance to enjoy witnessing your students take in a fascinating new culture as well as enjoying it yourself!
