Sports Tour Manager

The sports facilities in northern Italy are outstanding, making it the perfect location to bring your team for hockey, rugby, football, volleyball, basketball and swimming. Two of our favourite bases are the Bella Italia in Lignano and the Veronello Resort by Lake Garda. We also recommend the elite level facilities at the Verona Rugby Academy – with dorm rooms on-site that can sleep up to 34 people and a training base even if you’re not on-site, the pitches and facilities are second to none. We will arrange sessions for your team to train and fixtures with local teams and clubs.

This area of Italy also offers incredible places to visit within a short radius, including the historic cities of Venice, Verona and Modena. Lake Garda offers a beautiful backdrop to your training, as well as watersport and hiking experiences for your team. Your students can also get their thrills from a Pit-Stop Experience at the Ferrari Museum, the Aquasplash Waterpark and Gardaland amusement park.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Italy

Arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport where our enthusiastic Adventure Leader will be waiting for you at the arrivals gate, waving our Learning Adventure flag. Transfer to your accommodation at the Bella Italia in Lignano. Settle in
before enjoying a welcome dinner in the hotel.
Relax at the hotel pool and attend a team presentation to start off your tour.

Day 2: Training sessions

Just across the road from the main accommodation base, you will find a pristine rugby training field, alongside a similarly well-manicured grass football pitch. Today, enjoy multiple sessions training together as a team. You will have access to the field for 90 mins per session booked.

Day 3: Training and fixture

Use the outstanding facilities for another team training session.
Head to a fixture with a local school or club.

Day 4: Training and water park

Use the outstanding facilities for another team training session.
Cool off from the Italian heat with a trip to Aquasplash Water Park!

Day 5: Training and water park

Hop on the coach to transfer to your next hotel – the Veronello, next to Lake Garda.
Head to the Veronello pitches for a training session.

Day 6: Training and Peschiera del Garda

Head to the Veronello pitches for multiple training sessions throughout the day.
Visit the nearby Peschiera del Garda. This picturesque town sits on the shore of Lake Garda and is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some free time after a day of training.

Day 7: Ferrari Museum and fixture

Drive over to Modena and the Ferrari Museum. At the museum you can put your teamwork to the test as you take part in the Pit-Stop challenge!
Head to a fixture with a local school or club.
Get to know your hosts with dinner and free time.

Day 8: Cable car and hike

Have a stretching and pool recovery session in the hotel to soothe muscles and support recovery.
Climbing steeply from the shore of Lake Garda, the Monte Baldo cable car leaves Malcesine and serves as the gateway to several local ski resorts. In the summer, this is an incredible chance to enjoy views of the
lake and to set on a team building hike into the mountains.
After dinner, spend some time enjoying the games club near the hotel.

Day 9: Verona Rugby Academy

Visit the Verona Rugby Academy for a full training day using their high performance gym and training pitches. Lunch and dinner can be served at their amazing restaurant on site before returning to the hotel.

Day 10: Gardaland amusement park

Visit one of Italy’s top amusement park – Gardaland! Experience the adrenaline rush of their rides and rollercoasters and relax with your teammates.

Day 11: Travel home

Today, it’s time to head back to the airport for your flight home. The Learning Adventure’s mission is to expand minds through transformative travel experiences, so we hope that as you settle into your seat for the journey home, that all you have experienced during your trip will leave you with a feeling of increased confidence, knowledge, understanding and yearning for your next adventure!
