Day 1: Arrival

  • Students will touch down in Krabi, ready for the start of their CAS and adventure trip! They’ll meet their Adventure Leader and they will have a trip briefing. Alongside running through the next 7 days of the itinerary, they’ll also introduce students to the local culture and provide some tips for adjusting to local life, while also explaining the best ways to stay safe while they travel.
  • Once students are all settled in, they can stretch their legs with a stroll along the golden sands of Ao Nang Beach, where the dramatic limestone cliffs rise majestically against the turquoise waters.
  • Afterwards, students will discover the rich history and spirituality of Phu Khao Phra Maha Bodhisattva Temple. Nestled amidst serene natural surroundings, this temple offers students a chance to learn about Thailand’s Buddhist traditions and the symbolic architecture of this revered site.

Day 2: Kayaking, cooking class & Ao Nang beach

  • Students will start their day with an immersive Mangrove and Canyon Eco Kayaking Tour, where they will paddle through serene mangrove forests and awe-inspiring limestone canyons. As they glide through tranquil waters, students will learn about mangrove conservation, the role these forests play in protecting coastlines, and the local biodiversity.
  • Next on the list is a visit to Ya’s Thai Cookery School, students will immerse themselves in the vibrant flavors of traditional Thai cuisine through hands-on cooking lessons. Under the guidance of expert local chefs, they’ll learn to prepare authentic dishes like Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
  • To end their day, experience the magic of Ao Nang Beach as the sun sets and the night comes alive with a captivating fire show! Students can watch in awe as skilled performers light up the shoreline with breathtaking fire dances, spinning flames, and mesmerizing acrobatics.

Day 3: Village visit & night market

  • Today, students will take a traditional boat to a nearby village, where they will experience daily life through hands-on activities like crafting batik, cooking local dishes, or exploring agriculture. They will get the chance to connect with the locals, embrace cultural immersion, and support sustainable practices that preserve the environment and community livelihoods.
  • They will then get the chance to step into the heart of Ao Nang’s bustling night market, where the sights, sounds, and smells of Thailand come alive! Students can discover a treasure trove of unique souvenirs, from handmade jewelry and colorful textiles to quirky local crafts, while also indulging in mouth-watering Thai street food.

Day 4: Open-Minds Thailand, Muay Thai class & dance performance

  • In the morning, students will engage in meaningful service and cultural exchange with Open-Minds Thailand, a local NGO dedicated to community empowerment. Students will teach English or IT skills to disadvantaged youth or students with disabilities, learn Thai customs and language through interactive training and market practice, and deepen connections by cooking traditional Thai meals alongside locals.
  • It’s time to get moving with a fun and exciting Muay Thai class that dives into the heart of Thailand’s culture.
  • After an exciting day of exploration, students will immerse themselves in Thailand’s vibrant cultural heritage with an evening of entertainment. They can choose between a traditional Thai dance performance, showcasing graceful movements and ornate costumes, a cabaret show, filled with dazzling performances and lively music, or a traditional Thai play, steeped in mythology and drama.

Day 5: Ziplining, elephants & Krabi night market

  • Get ready for an exhilarating ziplining experience through the treetops of Krabi’s lush jungle. The Tree Top Adventure Park offers a variety of zip lines, rope bridges, and challenging obstacle courses. Students will get to experience the jungle from above while learning about the unique ecosystems in the rainforest.
  • They will then embark on an unforgettable journey where they’ll not only gain valuable insights into the world of Thai elephants, but also discover how to build a special bond with these majestic creatures. Students will get hands-on experience preparing their meals, delight in the joy of feeding them, revel in a playful mud bath, and create cherished memories with an invigorating elephant shower.
  • To end the day, students will visit Krabi Night Market and enjoy the vibrant spectrum of art, crafts, music and food – with mostly handmade items instead of mass-produced goods.

Day 6: Railay beach, rock climbing & hiking

  • For their last full day, students will head to Railay beach, considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in Thailand. Students can enjoy activities like snorkeling, kayaking through lagoons, and exploring hidden caves.
  • Next on the agenda, rock climbing! With stunning limestone cliffs rising dramatically from the sea, this activity combines breathtaking scenery with thrilling physical challenge.
  • It’s time for students to get their trainers on as they embark on a rewarding hike, offering breathtaking panoramic views of lush rainforests, dramatic limestone cliffs, and the Andaman Sea. This challenging yet well-maintained trail winds through dense jungle, past unique flora and fauna, leading to an awe-inspiring summit nearly 500 meters above sea level.
  • On the last night in Thailand, there will be a chance for students, faculty and adventure leaders to come together for a reflection session. Through discussion, listening and guided thought, participants can process their experiences, digest new ideas and consider what they have learned about the region, its people and themselves during the trip.

Day 7: Farewell

  • After a hearty breakfast, the group will pack up, share final goodbyes with new friends and hosts, and prepare for the return trip. The scenic drive back provides a final glimpse of the beautiful landscapes, leaving students with lasting memories and meaningful insights from their adventure.
