Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Buenos Aires

Morning

Land at Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires, before transferring by private coach to your hotel.

Afternoon

Begin your time in Argentina with one of the country’s best-loved cuisines: steak.

Once you’ve filled up at the steakhouse, go on a city tour. Learn about the history of Buenos Aires through its most iconic spots, like the Plaza Mayor and Casa RosadaObeliscoRecoleta Cemetery and Palacio Barolo.

Day 2: Ecology on the Tigre Delta

Morning

Take a boat tour of the Tigre Delta ecosystem. Learn about how deforestation, hunting and fishing has damaged the ecology of the delta.

Afternoon

Gain a more in-depth knowledge of Argentina’s wildlife with a visit to the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve, the most biodiverse green space in the city. With the backdrop of city skyscrapers, spot and learn about birds, mammals and reptiles in this peaceful paradise.

Evening

Take part in your first fixture of the trip. Every fixture is expertly matched by our sports specialist, who researches your team, your team’s past matches and prospective opposition teams.

Day 3: Geography at the Devil’s Throat

Morning

Catch a flight to Cataratas de Iguazú. First up, trek the lower circuit of the waterfalls and marvel at Iguazú River’s beaches on the way.

Afternoon

Learn about the geography of river landforms as you head up to the Devil’s Throat, a huge waterfall in the Iguazú Falls. The Brazil-Argentina border runs through this canyon.

Day 4: Speedboat

Morning

Enjoy the falls from another angle today. Enjoy a thrilling speedboat ride at the foot of the falls.

Afternoon

Fly back to Buenos Aires.

Day 5: Fixture

Afternoon

Play in your second fixture this afternoon.

Evening

Reward your hard work by going to watch an Argentine tango show. It originated in the suburbs of the city in the 19th century and is an important tradition in Argentinian culture.

Day 6: Learn to be a Gaucho

Morning/Afternoon

Take a day trip to an Argentinian estancia (a ranch), learn about life as a gaucho (an Argentinian horseman) and try your hand at some of the key skills. You could be learning to ride a horse, trying lasso tricks or making empanadas. For lunch, you’ll be trying Argentinian parrilla (barbecued meat).

Day 7: La Bombonera Stadium Tour

Morning

Tour the famous La Bombonera Stadium, named bombonera (chocolate box) for its shape. Follow in the footsteps of your favourite players as you walk onto the pitch and hear about the success story of Boca Juniors.

Afternoon

Compete in your third fixture.

Day 8: Learn to Play Polo

Morning/Afternoon

Travel to a country club just outside Buenos Aires. Here, learn how to play polo before watching a professional game.

Day 9: Hike to the Summit of Lomas Blancas

Morning

Fly to Mendoza, an exciting city close to the Chilean border.

Afternoon

Take advantage of your location at the foot of the Andes and go on a hiking expedition. Challenge yourself to reach the summit of Lomas Blancas, with a peak of 3,000 metres.

Day 10: White Water Rafting & Canopying

Morning

Have an exhilarating morning as you go white water rafting down the Mendoza River.

Afternoon

Continue the adrenaline rush with canopying. Rush over the Mendoza River on a zipline and enjoy panoramic view of Potrerillos Valley and the Cordon del Plata Mountain Range.

Evening

Fly back to Buenos Aires.

Day 11: Final Fixture

Afternoon

You’ve worked on your teamwork, skills and confidence throughout this sports tour. Now put them to the test as you compete in your final fixture.

Evening

Celebrate the challenges you’ve overcome, the knowledge you’ve learned and the team bonds you’ve strengthened over a final farewell dinner.

Day 12: Fly Home

It might be home time, but it’s not over. The sporting skills you’ve developed over the past two weeks will follow you back to the pitch at home.
