Once you’ve checked into the hotel, it’s time to start exploring! Take a boat ride along the River Seine, where you’ll stop off to climb the Eiffel Tower. Look out onto the city you’re about to explore and pick out some of the places you’ll be visiting.

Evening

Enjoy the view of the iconic Eiffel Tower from the Trocadero esplanade at sunset and watch it twinkle as it lights up. End the day feasting on a well-earned welcome dinner and come together for a trip briefing to get you ready for the week’s adventures.

Day 2: Sorbonne University Literature Lecture

Explore the literary heart of Paris. Visit Oscar Wilde’s place of death, the stomping grounds and inspiration for authors like Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Gertrude Stein!

Delve deeper into the political climate of modern France. Listen to a Gilet Jaune (part of the yellow vest movement) or En Marche member as they talk about the current political situation in France.

Pick your way through the Shakespeare and Co bookshop, located in a former medieval monastery. Get engaged with a literary talk and discussion with a modern author.

Evening

Indulge at dinner in the Montparnasse area. Then, go up the Montparnasse Tower to watch the sun set over a panoramic view of the city.

Evening

Enjoy dinner near the Loire Valley before heading to your accommodation tonight.

Make your way back to Paris and get straight back into exploring the city. Listen up in a philosophers tour, venturing from the bohemian left bank neighbourhoods of Saint-Germain-des-Pres to the Latin Quarter. Hear the stories of the most thought-provoking poets and philosophers who lived in these areas.

After dinner, explore the area of Montmartre and watch the sunset from the Sacré Coeur Basilica.
